Misfits / Your information
Your words.
Handled with care.
What happens when you send an introduction, a note or a story.
What we collect
We store the information you choose to send: your introduction, name, email, links, interests, notes or story. An email is required for introductions and stories, and optional for notes and podcast suggestions. Don’t include passwords, financial details or confidential material you aren’t allowed to share.
Who can see it
Submissions go to a private inbox for the people running Misfits. We use them to review introductions, respond, discuss possible collaborations and consider stories or podcast ideas. Supabase provides the database infrastructure. Visitors cannot browse introductions, emails or private notes.
You choose what becomes public
Stories stay private unless you check the publication-permission box and an editor approves the story. Only the story, chosen byline and publication date appear in the journal. Your email does not. Joining the community does not give Misfits ownership of your work or commit you to a business arrangement.
Keeping and removing information
We keep submissions while reviewing them and handling related conversations. To request a correction, removal or withdrawal of publication permission, send a private note with the email you used and your receipt number if you have it. The team may need to verify the request before changing a record.
Basic abuse protection
We use a keyed hash of the submitting network address and email to limit repeated submissions. Rate-limit records are cleared after two days when the next submission is processed. Your form is held in this tab while you edit; the site does not save form drafts to browser storage.
