Misfits

The clubhouse / A different way in

Room to
become.

You don’t need an introduction, a particular school or a finished product. Curiosity, a little follow-through and something to share will do.

01 / A place to begin

Ambition deserves
somewhere to go.

We’re bringing together the first builders and creators. A place to turn ambition into work: learn how to build, test an idea with real people and find the practical help to take it further.

We’re starting online. A physical clubhouse is a later ambition, when the community can sustain one.

Different strengths.
Something shared.

FOR CREATORS / BEYOND THE NEXT CAMPAIGN

Build something
you have a stake in.

Brand deals can be part of your work. You can also help build a product you own a piece of—something your audience actually wants, with a future beyond the next campaign.

You bring audience insight, content expertise and a way to reach the people it’s for. A builder brings the product to life. Misfits helps you work through the idea, test demand and handle the practical business decisions together. You help shape what gets made, how it reaches people and how it grows.

A stake in a business can mean participating in its ongoing upside and, if it is eventually sold, its future sale value. Ownership, responsibilities and any share of profits or sale proceeds would be agreed project by project. Exact terms aren’t finalized; returns depend on the business, and an exit is only a possibility.

You know your audience. Build with them in mind.

FOR BUILDERS / LEARN WHILE YOU MAKE

Build the thing
you keep thinking about.

You’re curious about technology. You like figuring things out. You don’t have to know the whole stack before you start. Bring that drive and an idea you’re willing to work on.

We want to help you turn it into something people can try: break the problem into small pieces, make a first version, understand how it works and test what you’ve built. Mentoring and practical tools can make the next step clearer. You still do the thinking, learning and work.

A creator can help you understand an audience and reach your first potential users. Put a small version in their hands, listen to what happens and improve it. Alongside the product, work through the business decisions that help it grow.

Make a version. Learn something. Try again.

Mentoring and working sessions are part of what we’re building toward. The first sessions are still being arranged.

WHEN IT STARTS BECOMING A BUSINESS

Someone for
the other half.

The plan is to help with the work beyond the product: business direction, back-office operations, finding a route to customers and putting a clear pitch together. Where there’s a fit, that may include investor introductions.

Support depends on the project and the people available. We’ll work out the scope together. An introduction is never a promise of funding.

03 / On your terms

A NOTE WE DON’T WANT IN THE SMALL PRINT

Joining is free.
Your work is still yours.

Being part of the community does not give Misfits ownership of your ideas or work. There’s no upfront membership payment.

Some people may choose to build an individual business with Misfits. That’s a separate conversation about everyone’s contribution, responsibilities and ownership. Exact terms are not finalized; any collaboration would need its own agreement before work begins.

You can be here to learn, meet people and work on your own thing. Project collaboration is optional.

04 / A few fair questions

Good things start
with a question.

What can I bring if I’m just getting started?

A question, a rough idea or a willingness to help. You don’t need a portfolio, an audience of a certain size or a résumé. Say what you’re curious about and what you want to try.

What do you expect from people?

Be kind, be candid and follow through on what you agree to. Give useful feedback. Credit other people’s work. Ask before sharing someone’s unreleased idea or story. Make it easier for the next person to ask a question.

Is everything you’ve described available right now?

We’re assembling the first community. Mentoring, working sessions and business support describe what we’re building toward; availability and any project-specific support will be discussed openly. There’s no published event schedule or public project roster yet.

Do I have to join a business or give up equity?

No. Free community membership is separate from an individual project collaboration. You decide whether to explore one, and any ownership terms must be agreed separately.

Will my introduction or work be public?

Your introduction is intended for the people welcoming you, not a public directory. Sharing a story, profile or project will be your choice. Submitted introductions and notes are stored in a private inbox. Only a story you explicitly permit and the team approves can appear in the journal.

Where will we meet?

Online first. The first community space and welcome sessions are still being arranged. Send an introduction to the private inbox. The team can follow up as the first welcome arrangements take shape.
